RATES AND FEES
Ohio Cumberland is governed by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO). The current fees and rates filed with and approved by the PUCO are as follows:
Customer Charge – Residential Service / $14.40 + Ohio Gross Receipts Tax (4.987%) = $15.12/Monthly
This is a monthly charge to the customer regardless of the amount of gas consumed
- “Residential Service Customer” shall mean any Customer who consumes less than 300* Mcf per year between July 1 and June 30 at a single-family residential dwelling for space heating, air conditioning, cooking, water heating, incineration, refrigeration, laundry drying, lighting, incidental heating, or other domestic purposes. Annual consumption for Customers served hereunder will be reviewed each June 30th.
Customer Charge – General Service / $27.97 + Ohio Gross Receipts Tax (4.987%) = $29.37/Monthly
This is a monthly charge to the customer regardless of the amount of gas consumed
- “General Service Customer” shall mean any Customer who (1) consumes natural gas for a commercial use, (2) consumes 300 Mcf or more of natural gas per year between July 1 and June 30, regardless of the use, (3) consumes natural gas for residential and commercial use at a single-family residential dwelling, or (4) consumes natural gas for any other purpose than those identified in the definition for the RS Customer Class. Annual consumption for Customers served hereunder will be reviewed each June 30th.
Reconnect Fee / Occurrence $45.00
If gas service has been disconnected, a reconnect fee is charged when the service is reconnected.
Collect at the Door / Occurrence $35.00
If Ohio Cumberland personnel collect funds at the door to avoid disconnection, a fee will be charged.
Returned Check Fee / Occurrence $30.00
According to the standards set forth by law, Ohio Cumberland Gas Company will prosecute any individual who does not make restitution within the allowed period, when a check/bank transfer has been returned from the banking institution.
If the check originally issued to avoid disconnection of gas service is returned, then gas service may be terminated immediately. Ohio Cumberland is also governed by the PUCO in respect to all tariff gas rates. Below are the rates charged by Ohio Cumberland for the past several years. The rate is an “all up” rate that includes the Gas Cost Recovery, Base Rate, Taxes and Transportation. To compare our rates with other natural gas companies, be sure that you have included all figures charged for gas, delivery and tax.
