Ohio Cumberland Gas Company is a privately-owned public utility with gathering and distribution lines.
We maintain both metal and plastic pipe within our system. We are continuously monitoring and upgrading our pipelines in accordance with the PUCO guidelines.
Our system serves as the gathering system for approximately 175 wells within the service area. We also distribute natural gas to over 2200 residential, small commercial and, industrial and large commercial customers.

If you plan to excavate, it’s the law to contact the Ohio Utilities Protection Service at least 48 hours (2 working days) prior to beginning any excavation and construction activities. OUPS then will notify the utility companies in your dig area to mark their lines before your work begins.
|
We will send a representative to your construction site to identify the estimated location of our gas lines. You and/or the excavator is responsible for pinpointing the EXACT location of gas lines by careful excavation.
|
REMEMBER: PLAY IT SAFE…CALL BEFORE YOU DIG.
